Real virtuality, 2006.

The question of real and unreal goes back to the Cave allegory. In the cave, under the light of a fire, people only see shadows of themselves and their surroundings. Since they see nothing else, they believe that the shadows are real.
On the Internet people only see digital representations of themselves interfering with multiple personae of other digital representations through a screen. They see these digital representations and they believe they are real, because they don't see anything else.
