Statistics show that the total number of women in Croatia is higher than the total number of men (93 men : 100 women, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics). The proposal for the Woman is more slogan is an ironic comment on this ratio, emphasized through the ambiguous meaning of both its quantitative (There are more women) and qualitative (Women are more than...) value. The slogan was used as a basis for the development of the Women’s Studies campaign before the parliamentary elections. The campaign was meant as an antithesis, aimed at public provocation at the expense of inequality between men and women. The logo refers to a slogan using a more (>) instead of a diacritical mark, and its extension (–) becomes a new modification used as part of the same campaign of the Centre for Education, Counselling and Research (CESI), named Women's Platform 2011.
