“While the Covid-19 pandemic spreads all over the world, the ban of public gatherings has drastic consequences on many occupations, including arts and culture. Reality has become more fictitious than fiction, and the idea of the arts in concert halls, cinemas, and white cubes, has become uncertain.”

Art Without Place is a collective project initiated by artist Ana Kuzmanić, which shares the voices of artists, curators, art critics and other workers in the cultural sector on how they have experienced the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and their predictions about the future. The publication is a result of artistic research conveyed in the beginning of the 2020 online via www.artwithoutplace.com, and is a valuable material for future crisis reference. The design of the book follows the logic of the website—it is bound loosely so that the testimonies can be easily ripped out and displayed in a continuous line when exhibited in space.
