The 2-year long Practicing Design project is promoting work-based learning and development of transversal and entrepreneurial skills in design education by developing and testing a set of innovative trainings through two phases. Rethinking Design Education Study represents the results of the first phase of the project, which consist of the comparative analyses of the educational shortage in the regional context—specifically skills and knowledge needed for employability and not provided by design curriculums. The conclusions of the first phase of the project served as a guiding framework for the second output—Practicing Design Training Programme Handbook that integrates cross-disciplinary and entrepreneurship skills into a series of educational workshops, encouraging collaboration projects between young design professionals, design and business educators and production industry.
